Special Projects

We have had various special projects throughout our years in order to accomplish special capital and other improvements. Donations to these projects are restricted to go directly to the project expenses. Read below for our current and past projects.

Current Projects

Our rain garden project was an undertaking during the Spring of 2023 in collaboration with Purdue’s EEE472 class. Professor Lindsey Payne and students Adam Beaver, Aekum Mhajan, James Wolfinbarger, Myles Cook, and Savannah Jones designed a rain garden to be implemented on the west side of the building. Through various grants we were able to put their plan into action. On your next visit check out the progress of the rain garden and click the link above to learn more and how you can implement one at your own house.

The front entry project began in order to elevate the entrance to BTCCGL in both function and form. This project aims to make accessibility better for all and also update the look and feel of the front of our building.

Our kitchen project began in order to create a commercial kitchen capable of supporting our large events like Holi and Diwali and also allow a place for our community to utilize for their large events.

Donations for the Kitchen project fund will allow us to complete the construction work needed to make it a fully functioning commercial kitchen. It also allows us to purchase and maintain our large equipment.
